This holiday season, help give our kids a pajama party with their class by participating in the Pajama Party Challenge. If you haven’t yet contributed the suggested annual donation of $1,500 per child, or 1% of your household income, to the Family Fund, this is an excellent time to do so; your child will enjoy a special treat!
The Challenge
Each class that raises $3,500 between November 28th and December 15th will earn a movie and popcorn before the end of the year. Once we raise $75,000 or more as a school, then all students will also enjoy a PAJAMA PARTY!
Options to Donate
1. Click here to donate via PayPal or credit card (please check the box to share your name/email, so the PTA can ensure your child’s class gets credit)
2. Checks can be mailed to the River School PTA, 425 East 35th Street, NY, NY 10016, attention: PTA Family Fund; or message Class Parent(s) to coordinate collection. Please write your child’s name and class on the check.
All Contributions Count
Any contribution received from 11/28-12/15 will be included towards the challenge. This includes corporate matching funds. Use our new Double the Donation service at the bottom of this page to check if your company has a matching gift program. It’s free money to help our children!
Where Does The Money Go?
All money raised goes to the PS 281 Family Fund, which directly benefits our children and includes programs not covered by the Department of Education’s budget. The PS 281 Family Fund has helped fund essential items and services such as online subscription services (like RAZ Kids), Kindergarten TA’s, specials supplies, paper for classrooms, professional development, Art Farm in the City, Ballet Tales, other enrichment programs, and more!
